Special piano concert in Hanoi, HCMC
Chau Van singing inspired pianist and composer Pho An My Dang Nguyen March to venture into a new concept of musical performance.
The performance of 60 minutes called "reflection" is the first of their 2011 co-production.
Dang Nguyen in March does not write new works based on Music "Hats Van '. Ancient Poems provide inspiration to create characters that come alive with the sound of the piano. The piano and the hand will Chapeau Van 'in hand as two independent entities, crisscrossing and mutually enriching.
The pianist in collaboration with the popular artist and craftsman Thanh Hoai Thanh Dzuong bring "Chau Van" out of his simple style of music popular form of religion in a more elegant and modern style.
Piano and Chau Van harmonize reality and virtuosity, offering listeners a glimpse of a world multi-affective, familiar and strange and exciting. "Reflection" promises to satisfy fans of piano music and its diversity.
Pho My A graduate of the Hanoi Conservatory of Music and studied piano in Germany for eight years. It is now a professor pianist in Nanning in China.
The show will be held in Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on August 31.
Tickets are priced from VND500, 000 to VND1, 500,000.
Chau Van singing is a special kind of ceremonial ritual chant used during worship in ancient times the temples. It is very rhythmic and trance-oriented.
The art of singing Chau Van origin in the Red River Delta and back to the 16th century, later spreading to the rest of the country. It also adopted the essential beauty of folk songs of the mountainous regions of North, Central and South.
Chau Van singing combines song, dance and trance, a form of religious art used for extolling the virtues of benevolent deities or deified national heroes. His music and his style of poetry mixed with a variety of rhythms, pauses, tempos, stresses and pitches.
