Unparalleled graphics; Good balance between arcade and smiluation; Excellent physics and damage modelling; Well optimised; Detailed cars; Gymkhana mode; Group B rally cars; Flashback system returns. DRM from hell; DiRT Tour lacks the usual rally locations; Lacklustre soundtrack and voice-overs; Annoying cyan tint; In-game YouTube uploader is lame. Expert Rating : therefore, has very large shoes to fill.The first major revision is evident from the get-go in the menu screen itself. Gone is the banged-up RV and, along with it, the awesome 3D menu system from the last game. The UI is now a boring pyramid-themed affair. Codemasters had no business fixing something that wasn't broken. I surmise this polished look is meant to reflect the player's transition from an amateur in DiRT 2 to a professional racer in this instalment. That means you now have access to a much larger roster of vehicles and racing teams, including tonnes of new WRC engine that delivers the best lighting and particle effects I have seen in a racing game. The vehicles sport noticeably better meshes, with stunning exterior and cockpit detail. A high polygon count beautifully fleshes out not just the exterior, but even mechanical components - such as the suspension, driveshafts, exhaust, and engine components - seamlessly integrated with the vehicle.
The volumetric dust effects evident in the desert and gravel stages are mind-bendingly realistic. Night races are brought to life by a competent lighting engine.

I had these same issues with my 2005 Ford Freestyle last year and spent $821.33 on July 7, 2010 to have the throttle body replaced. Since replacement, I have had no problems with this, but the AC is now beginning to give me problems. Assuming Ford does the right thing, will I be eligible for reimbursement of the cost of the throttle body replacement? Hi Jon and Scott, Thanks for getting in touch with us about your cars. NHTSA opened its investigation in May, and has requested some information from Ford that will help the agency test the cars and determine whether or not to issue a recall. It looks like they are in fact investigating the throttle body, so if you have the cash on hand to pay for the repair yourself, you should talk to a mechanic and check out your options. If you don't want to pay out of pocket, you can wait and see if NHTSA issues a recall. If they do, Ford will likely cover some or all of the cost of your repairs. Today after it lurched and died it entered an engine safe mode and would not down shift to accelerate. Needless to say this was slightly embarrassing when I'm trying to get up to speed out of an intersection. Several times I needed to pull over and let all the extremely kind and understanding people behind me pass and wave with some kind of a one fingered peace gesture. I have yet to see if the car comes out of this safe mode on it's own. I have read that some people have had success with replacing the throttle body. I own a 2007 Ford Freestyle with 83,000 miles. This happend to me very bad today in a drive through. I did have my air conditiong on high because it was 95 degrees today in St. Louis. The problem was the worst today since it started several months ago. I did file a complaint with the NHTSA. But what do I do next? I need to get the vehicle fixed. Do I need to contact Ford? Do I go ahead and pay to have it fixed? Thanks so much.
