Album Review: Young Buck – Buck The World
Camp that ain’t geared towards the masses, and still manages to deliver tight material. The first thing that jumped out at me when I looked over the album credits was the lack of G-Unit participation on this project. Buck’s first LP featured 6 G-Unit collaborations, this time around only 50 Cent is featured, and only twice. This time Buck worked with mostly southern MC’s, and a variety of vocalists ranging from Lyfe Jennings to Chester Bennington of Linkin Park . The project features production from Dr. Dre , Jazze Pha , JR Rotem , and Danja just to name a few. For the most part the beats are solid throughout, with several stand out tracks and only a couple duds.
Lyrically, Buck doesn’t show any drastic improvement, but Buck is what he is, a straight to the point tough-guy, whose bars are packed more with raw emotion than complex word-play, but his formula works.  On this project, Buck is at his best when he’s keeping it street, tracks like “Push Em Back”, and “Clean Up Man” showcases Buck’s lyrical strong points. Tough talk aside, Buck also manages to get deep and personal on cuts like “Buck The World”, and “Slow Ya Roll”. This album also features a couple of monster collaborations, “I Ain’t Fuckin Wit Ya” features Snoop Dogg  and Trick Daddy , and the down south anthem “4 Kingz” includes hot 16′s from T.I. ,  Young Jeezy , and a throwback hook from Pimp C . All in all this album delivers a much needed shot in the arm for G-Unit, and re-establishes Buck as one of the more respected MC’s out of the South.
